The Grand Tetons are a unique mountain range with sharp pinnacles rising from river valleys and meadows. They're especially striking when seen from one of the many lakes in the park, as the peaks look as if they're floating right on the water. 

 

An original/alternative name of the Teton Range is Teewinot, meaning "many pinnacles."
